Really, the only way to learn is by doing it yourself. Through this tutorial we have made one ugly web page, and I did this for a reason. I did this so that you will have a primal need, an urge to change it to your liking. So tweak. Keep in mind that you can either target by Element, Class or ID, and you can have multiple targets for different groupings of definitions.
This stuff was pretty basic, and we really didn’t get into anything too crazy, but take a look at the original site here, then take a look at your finished product here. We did all that without changing a single line of the original code. Think of what you can do with a little creativity. The possibilities are endless.
Take this very site for example, it’s HTML mark-up is nearly identical to that of The CSS Zen Garden, on purpose. Now take a look at all the CRAZY designs people have made over there, doing the same thing, never touching the HTML. I know that I am not the greatest designer, so I did this so you could look and see what others have done with nearly the same mark-up.
The future lies in this stuff. In CSS design.
PS: You can change the name of that folder now. Something like "Getting There." Thats what mine says.
